What are the products that constitute the Verisium testing suite?

  • vTest provides a powerful functional and regression testing framework with a host of powerful functionality testing features.
  • vManage allows you to organize and manage the testing process by providing tools that aid in the test management, defect tracking (bug tracking) and requirements management.
  • vPerformer is a sophisticated load testing product that allows you to measure the performance and reliability of your web applications.

What are the system requirements for vTest and vPerformer?

The recommended minimum system requirements for installing vTest and vPerformer are given below. If your system does not conform to these requirements, program behavior may be unpredictable.

  • System: IBM compatible PC with Pentium (R) II 366 MHz microprocessor.
  • Memory: Minimum 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended).
  • Disk Space: 50 MB
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher 
  • Screen Resolution 800 x 600 pixels or above

Do vTest and vPerformer require a programming background?

A programming background is NOT required in order to use either vTest or vPerformer. However, vTest and vPerformer accommodate users who wish to program their scripts and provides scripting capability in JavaScript.

Can I write my own custom scripts using vTest and vPerformer?

vTest and vPerformer provide powerful scripting capability in an industry standard language, JavaScript. It provides a comprehensive JavaScript API library that caters to users who prefer to write code to program their scripts.

What web browsers are supported by vTest?

vTest scripts can be replayed using both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

Does vTest support Dynamic HTML (DHTML)?

Yes.

Does vTest allow you to record interactions with windows popups such as the alert, confirm, prompt and authentication dialogs?

Yes. All browser based dialogs originating from the application under test can be recorded and the interactions on them can be replayed.

What are the system requirements for vManage?

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher 
  • Screen Resolution 800 X 600 pixels or above

Client
